Nation Builders Corps is a government flagship progremme that was introduced to tackle graduate unemployment. Its been three years since its inception in 2019. Beneficiaries of this programme are expected to end their service in October, 2021.
The President Nana Akufo in his tour to the Bono Region today 10th August, 2021 in a radio interview on Radio BAR 93.5mhz has said, the Nation Builders Corps NABCo trainees under 3 year contract who are bringing their service to an end in October are in transition to paved way for new entrants.
According to him a questionnaire requesting a permanent position for the NABCo personnel has a number of 73,844 trainees willing to be fix in the public sector out of the 92,000 personnel employed in the various modules under NABCo.
He added that, unemployment rate is very worrying and the current NABCo personnel will be ending their job to help allow new graduates to have opportunity to be in the program.
He reiterated that, the various modules will absorbed the trainees into a permanent employment, adding that Educate Ghana will employ 25,000 personnel, Digital Ghana will take 15,000, Enterprise Ghana will absorb 5,500, Heal Ghana will employ 2,900 among the rest.
He therefore urged the trainees to take whatever processes they are going through very serious in their transition period as they bring their 3 year NABCo Service to an end in October 2021.
