KNUST rusticates, suspends and dismissed 4 students for misconduct


Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology, the largest university in the Kumasi metropolis and in the Ashanti region.


The management of KNUST on August 25, 2021 meted out disciplinary actions against four students for various degree of misconduct.


Unlike KNUST, every institution has a code of conduct and every student in that institution must abide by the institution’s code of conduct. Otherwise, any student who go contrary to the code of conduct will face some consequences.


In a notice to students and parents, KNUST management rusticated, suspended and dismissed 4 students for going contrary to the institutions rules.


Mr. Rexford Joselph Bonney whose offence is involvement of the unauthorized installation of ‘Odiko’ at Unity Hall. He has been punished by rustication for two academic years, i.e. 2021/2022 & 2022/2023


Mr. Baffour Owusu Konadu whose offence was gross misconduct and bringing the name of the institution into disrepute has been rusticated for one academic year, i.e. 2021/2022


Mr. Dwumah Ramsay Ohene-Tutu who stole two laptops from the university main library on different occasions has been dismissed.


Mr. Pattrick Dwamena offence was extortion of monies from students with the promise of securing them accommodation at GUSSS & SRC Hostels and has been suspended indefinitely.


The management by the notice accordingly informed all the relevant Officers or the University as well as parents and guardians.
